Ever wondered what it takes to be a fashion designer? Or how you even get started? One of the (many!) paths that can get you there is earning a fashion design degree from a school with a Bachelor of Fine Arts program. A school like The Savannah College of Art and Design, for example, which has one of the largest fashion programs in the world. Located in Savannah, Georgia, SCAD offers majors for everything from accessory design to fashion marketing and management—so pretty much all the bases are covered.
SCAD's annual fashion show highlights students' senior collections, and is a killer place to get a glimpse of the industry's future. Sure, New York Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week and Milan Fashion Week are all fine and well, but why see next season's threads when you can see next-next-next season's?
